Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra Appoints Tim Janiszewski as Assistant Conductor and Midwest String Orchestra Conductor

The Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Janiszewski as Assistant Conductor of the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra and Conductor of the Midwest String Orchestra.
Janiszewski joins the artistic staff following a successful series of guest conducting appearances with the Midwest String Orchestra during the 2017–2018 season. After working closely with the ensemble throughout the season, he was invited to officially join the organization’s artistic team.
A conductor, composer, and educator based in the Chicagoland area, Janiszewski has built a reputation for his engaging leadership style, collaborative musicianship, and dedication to music education. In his new roles, he will assist with the artistic leadership of the Midwest Philharmonic Orchestra while also leading the Midwest String Orchestra as conductor.
Janiszewski holds degrees in Music Education and Music Theory/Composition from Elmhurst College, where he was a six-time winner of the institution’s student conducting competition. During his time at Elmhurst, he conducted both the Elmhurst College Symphonic Band and Philharmonic Orchestra over three consecutive years and led several premiere performances of his own compositions.
