I had the joy and privilege of leading a professional development session on score study at the 2026 Lake County-Wide Institute Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to share practical score study strategies with fellow music educators and discuss ways to make score study efficient and meaningful. Thank you to all who attended!

Another successful Gala for Encore Music Academy! It was a wonderful evening of music-making with our talented Encore students. Bravo to all of the students for their hard work and a memorable performance!

It is always a treat to rehearse downtown at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts while covering rehearsals for the Hyde Park Youth Symphony. Always grateful for the opportunity to work with these young musicians!

Another successful Encore Music Academy Retreat! It was a wonderful two days of team building, music-making, and connecting with students on the beautiful Lutherdale campus. A great way to kick off the 2025–2026 season!

I had a fantastic time in New York participating in Rising Stars: New York, a conducting workshop led by Karen Jane Ní Bhroin, Tim Redmond, and Marin Alsop. It was a wonderful and inspiring weekend, and I am grateful for the opportunity. Thank you to Nicole Peragine and the Music Conservatory of Westchester for hosting such a great workshop.

Getting ready for Encore Music Academy’s Gala tomorrow night! I am excited to conduct selections from Carmen with our Encore Youth Orchestra students and look forward to sharing this special evening of music.

I had a wonderful time conducting the St. Charles North High School Chamber Orchestra during a conducting workshop at the 2025 Illinois Music Education Conference. It was a great opportunity to work with such talented student musicians and continue growing as a conductor. Thank you to Allen Tinkham and Michael Mishra for your mentorship and guidance!

I had the absolute honor of participating in a conducting workshop with Jeffery Meyer. It was a wonderful and inspiring four days of learning, music-making, and reconnecting with fellow conductors and colleagues. Thank you to Silas Huff and Northern Illinois University for hosting another great workshop!

I had the joy of leading my debut performance as the new conductor of Encore Music Academy’s Intermezzo Orchestra. Congratulations to all of the students on a fantastic performance! I am grateful for the opportunity to work with this ensemble and excited to see what the rest of the season has in store.

Night two of sitting in on rehearsals with the New Philharmonic! It was a treat to hear the orchestra rehearse Bizet’s Carmen Fantasy and Dvořák’s New World Symphony. Always grateful for opportunities to observe and learn from the rehearsal process.
